CURRENT Time in Costa Rica:
Time Zone - We don't change for Daylight Savings Time
Costa Rica is 8-11 degrees north of the equator. That means our daylight year round only varies +/- 40 minutes, so no "daylight savings" needed. Sunrise is about 6 AM, sunset is about 6 PM... plus or minus 40 minutes.
Costa Rica is in the GMT -6 zone, which corresponds to U.S. Central Time during winter months, and U.S. Mountain Time when the U.S. is in daylight savings time.
It also means that the moon looks peculiar to a person who has only seen it from northern latitudes, so be sure to check that out while here.
It's time to call us.
